Fall Health Tips

While much of your healthy routine applies to any season, we have a few tips specific for those Fall months. As daylight savings happens, as well as a shift in weather, we just have a few things to be mindful of. Along with moving into the Fall season also comes the holidays. It is a season of socializing with our friends and family.

  • Include Vitamin D in your regime. Oftentimes we get enough natural vitamin D, but the days are shorter in the Fall. Less window of time for sunlight after the work day.

  • Daily moisturizer is a must in the Fall. The colder weather dries out the skin. Keeping consistent with your moisturize will save your skin.

  • Get your yearly flu shot. A lot more time is spent indoors during the cold months, and unfortunately the germs travel so much easier inside.

  • Keeping a healthy balanced diet and reducing stress go a long way to boost your immune system. This is really the best defense as the cold and flu season approaches.

It is important to keep up with your annual visits to your physician. Preventive medicine is what we pride ourselves in here at Unger Primary Care.
