Based on a study in 2016, the obesity rate was 39.8% and affected about 93.3 million adults. In 2019, obesity is not something to take lightly as some of the obesity-related conditions include stroke, type 2 diabetes, heart disease and even some forms of cancer. Although losing weight can seem like a daunting task, we are here to support you. There is no easy way to lose weight, but here are some tips to help you jump start your weight loss goals.
Drink Plenty Of Water
It’s important to be drinking plenty of water. Not only does it promote healthy weight management and weight loss, but it also will help you flush out toxins and give you energy.
Be prepared for the week. Work and life can get incredibly busy. Plan your meals at the start of the week and prep what you can to it easy to achieve healthy eating throughout the week. Going to the grocery store with a list will also keep junk food out of your cart and out of your home.
Get Moving & Stay Busy
Exercise while eating healthy can help you stay on track. Exercise can help your body manage blood sugar and insulin levels, improve your mental health and mood, and will help you burn fat. Getting out of the house and staying active (whether it’s in the gym or a fun activity with friends) will keep you from eating junk food and will help you change your lifestyle for the better.
Start A Journal
Start writing down what you are eating so you can see what you are putting into your body. This is also a good place to log your exercise time in so you can set up additional goals. Writing things down also allows you to look back at older journal entries so you celebrate both small and big milestones in your weight loss journey.
